Norfolk Architectural Photography

Architectural photography suits my temperament. I enjoy the slow, contemplative attention to detail and the process driven approach to producing the final images. I also like the fact that every day is different, last week I was in the hustle and bustle of London photographing the iconic Gherkin building, this week couldn’t be more different…

A couple of days ago I was photographing The Lookout on the Holkham Estate in Norfolk. A lovely still evening to photograph this bird watchers paradise. Its elevated position gives good views across the bird reserve, the Larch slats provide masking to allow people to move within the centre without worrying the birds. The timber now weathering beautifully as it seems to almost disappear into the reeds and marram grass.
